BGT winner Viggo Venn cancels interview after being booed on air

Britain's Got Talent winner Viggo Venn cancelled a daytime TV interview on Tuesday, just days after being booed at the show's final.

The comedian was expected to make his first public appearance since scooping the £250,000 prize on Sunday, on Lorraine Kelly's self-titled show this morning. However, he cancelled at the last minute.

Fans had been expecting the high-vis wearing Norwegian to appear alongside Lorraine in the studio to chat about his dramatic win. However, the presenter had to make her excuses for the performer when he declined to appear, the Mirror reports.

A tweet from the Lorraine show's official account on Monday said: "So excited to say @ViggoVenn is joining @reallorraine live for his first TV interview tomorrow morning."

However, the 63-year-old later confirmed Viggo was no longer able to make his scheduled appearance as he wasn't "feeling well" but hopefully claimed she would "see him later on".

The BGT winner received backlash this weekend, when his win was booed by some members of the live audience during the final. Viggo was visibly shocked when his name was called out by Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.

As well as winning a huge sum of cash, the comic will perform for King Charles III at this year's Royal Variety Show.
