BGT viewers outraged as Amanda Holden warns her shoes that cost a week’s wages

Amanda Holden left Britain’s Got Talent viewers fuming tonight after claiming her shoes cost a week’s wages.

The talent show judge was heard issuing a warning to comedian Graeme Matthews after he asked to borrow one of her heels for his trick.

While she obliged and handed over her left Louboutin to him, viewers were left aghast when she said: “You’re going to be nice to my shoe, that’s like a week’s wages on that shoe."

Within moments, viewers flocked to social media to slam the 48-year-old for her “out of touch” statement.

The star was asked to hand over her left shoe for a trick by comedian Graeme Matthews (ITV)

One tweeted: “A week's wages on that shoe LOL okay Amanda that’ll be about two years for most people."

Another argued: “A week's wages, huh? That's obscene Amanda. There are people starving in this country who watch BGT. The showboating has got to stop. It's thoughtless beyond belief."

While a third said: “Amanda saying her shoe is a weeks wages,to who? This is why she's not liked.”

The shoe was placed in a 'cleaner' which caught alight (ITV)

Others argued that her the value of her shoes could feed an entire family.

Amanda was left horrified when her beloved red sole shoe - believed to cost in excess of £650 - was placed in a “cleaning machine” which caught alight.

However, the pricey heel emerged unscathed and was back on Amanda’s foot intact, unlike her reputation.
