BGT's Simon awkwardly forgot about Kojo - and finalist admits they barely speak

Britain's Got Talent star Kojo Anim has been a hit with viewers - but not so much with judge Simon Cowell.

The comedian left the audience in hysterics and was sent through to Sunday's final by the judges.

However, there was an extremely awkward moment at the start of Wednesday night's show when Simon confessed he didn't know his golden buzzer act was performing.

Questioning whether two golden buzzers were in the same semi-final, he admitted: "I didn't actually know he was on tonight."

He then appeared to forget about Kojo again as he looked baffled when Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly introduced the comedian.

Speaking on today's This Morning, Kojo revealed that he has barely spoken to Simon.

He said: "The only time I spoke to Simon was after my first audition. He said 'I want you to win'. He likes people that want to win.

"I've never really had a competitive spirit. Now I want to win this show and go all the way."

This is in stark contrast to Amanda Holden, who shared a cute snap before the show while hanging out with her golden buzzer act Chapter 13.

Simon will surely remember Kojo when he returns for Sunday's grand finale.

The judge went on a bizarre rant at the start of Wednesday's semi-final where he claimed the previous night's contestant were "lacking something" and had not worked hard enough.

Putting his cards on the table, he said: "I'm going to be honest with you. What I felt last night was the contestants were lacking something.

"I don't think they worked hard enough in my opinion.

"You’re in this place and you have to give that extra 10 to 20 per cent.

Britain's Got Talent: Simon Cowell uses surprise GOLD BUZZER

Kojo believes his semi-final was the hardest heat and had been dubbed the "group of death".

He told This Morning's Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford: "I thought yesterday's was the hardest heat. We called it the group of death. We thought if everyone was in separate heats they could win the show.

"To get out of that gives more confidence I can go all the way."

*Britain's Got Talent airs all this week on ITV at 7.30pm with results at 9.30pm
