BGT's Bruno Tonioli 'about to get fired' after breaking rule on show for second time

Britain's Got Talent judge Bruno Tonioli surprised viewers on Sunday night, as he claimed a second Golden Buzzer act ahead of the live semi-finals - in a move that Simon Cowell joked could "get him fired".

The former Strictly Come Dancing judge pressed his buzzer for singer Gamal John who performed It's A Man's Man's Man's World by James Brown.

New judge Bruno pressed his Golden Buzzer for the second time this series, and became the first judge on the show to get two Golden Buzzer acts.

Fellow judge Simon had teased there would be more than usual this year prior to the series starting, while it wasn't explained how this would work.

On Sunday night, Gamal took to the stage and pulled off an impressive audition that left the judges gutted that they'd run out of the special buzzers.

As it came to an end, the judges all heaped praise on the singer as the audience began chanting for them to "press the buzzer".

Despite Alesha Dixon and Ant and Dec all explaining there were none left, Bruno was clearly taken by the act, and shouted: "I have to do it."

Suddenly he got up and pressed the Golden Buzzer leaving the act and the crowd stunned, and his fellow judges were in shock.

Simon covered his face as Amanda Holden shouted out at him asking what he'd done, while Alesha could not hide the surprised look on her face.

Ant suddenly shouted: "What the hell? That's not allowed," as Amanda added: "You only get one."

Amanda went on: "Oh my God, this is chaos," with Alesha adding: "What have you done to this show?"

Ant and Dec were left hiding backstage as the judges reeled, with Simon joking: "Erm we are about to get fired..."

It looked as though they were about to take the buzzer away from Gamal as Alesha explained Bruno was wrong to press it.

Simon interrupted: "Having said that, Bruno is a new judge and if you give something you can't take it away."

Gamal then celebrated on stage with his young son, with Ant and Dec then running out to shoot confetti over them.

Judges normally only get one chance each to press the buzzer, sending an act through to the live semi-finals.

This isn't Bruno's first Golden Buzzer act though, and he made quite the blunder the first time around.

At the start of the series, Bruno pressed the buzzer for young dance group Ghetto Kids.

He shocked his co-stars though when he pressed it mid-performance, and not at the end like they usually do.

Bruno was left apologising as Simon explained the rules to him, and called out his eagerness with the buzzer.

Realising what he had done, Bruno shouted: "Oh I'm sorry, I got it wrong," looking very embarrassed as he faced the group.

Host Ant was heard shouting out in the scenes that aired last month: "Someone didn't explain the rules of Britain's Got Talent to him."

Simon then explained the rules to Bruno, to which he replied: "I had no idea," while looking very red-faced about the whole ordeal.

Britain's Got Talent continues next Saturday at 8PM on ITV1 and ITVX.
