BGT's Amanda Holden horrified as ITV crew member catches fire after act goes wrong

Amanda Holden was left horrified during the latest instalment of Britain’s Got Talent on Saturday, after an act appeared to go wrong on stage.

The ITV judging panel of Amanda alongside Simon Cowell, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon were back as the auditions for the hit talent show continued.

But one dangerous act left the judges in shock after one adventurous act didn't quite go to plan.

Steve Rawlings took to the stage in an attempt to impress the judges with his act of juggling while blindfolded - but the act took a turn when he set his batons on fire.

There were gasps heard in the audience as Steve accidentally set his face covering on fire.

When a Britain’s Got Talent crew member then rushed on the stage to tend to Steve, holding a towel in a bid to put out the fire, he then shockingly caught fire himself.

An open-mouthed Amanda looked on in horror and screamed in disbelief as the crew member rolled around on the floor of the stage.

A member of the audience was heard asking "Is this real?" as another crew member ran on stage with a fire extinguisher.

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly also looked on in shock from the side of the stage, with Ant exclaiming "What?" as the man was dragged to the side of the stage.

"What happened?" a concerned Alesha quizzed as Ant gave the man a thumbs up.

"He's okay, guys," the ITV presenter reassured as the staff member walked away seemingly unscathed.

It is unclear whether Steve's act was a planned stunt, or whether he made it to the next round, but no one appeared to be injured in the process.

Elsewhere in the show, the final Golden Buzzer was pressed by Alesha Dixon, who chose musical duo Flintz & Taylor to take home the glory, after a rousing performance saw 22-year-old Flintz perform his autobiographical track 'Change' while 17-year-old Taylor played the piano.

After the performance, Amanda told the pair: "Everything was so clear and so passionate, I loved hearing your story.”

David Walliams, who sent disabled dance troupe Born to Perform into the semi-finals with his Golden Buzzer, went on to praise the lads saying: "I really loved that you had something important to say and a lot of people watching this will relate to that, and they'll take a very positive message away from it, which I think is fantastic."

Meanwhile, infamously harsh Simon Cowell said: "It was real and I loved that. It was almost like a scene from a great movie. Everything was just brilliant, even when your voice kind of broke with emotion at the end, it was just an absolutely perfect audition in my opinion."

Before Alesha reached for the Golden Buzzer she said: "Nothing makes me more happy than seeing young musicians. You had something to say Flintz, we've had no-one on the show like you before which is brilliant.

"And they say in life, 'Save the best till last!'"
