A new venue serving real pub grub has opened in Liverpool city centre and people are already calling the food “beyond perfect”.
Coxy’s Kitchen has opened inside the Hanover Hotel on Hanover Street, serving up a range of traditional pub dishes.
The team has taken over the kitchen within the hotel following a huge refurbishment on the building.

Coxy’s Kitchen gets its name from Bryan Cox, 27, from Anfield, director of the business.
The restaurant has an extensive menu of traditional pub grub, including everything from burgers and chips to lasagne, jacket potatoes, wraps and more.
What fans of the restaurant are praising most, however, is the ‘built a burger’ section of the menu. This section allows diners to create their own burger, picking and choosing exactly what they want.
Diners have the option to choose from a 8oz beef patty, crispy chicken or veggie burger, and then from a range of toppings - the perfect solution for picky eaters.
Since opening at the end of June, Coxy’s Kitchen has received a range of glowing reviews online.
One reviewer wrote: “The food was beyond perfect for a Sunday meal with the family. We had burgers and a kids menu. Nice atmosphere, music and wonderful service. Highly recommended!”
A second said: “Proper pub food! Lovely, and great service from the staff. Definitely be back”.
A third added: “Gorgeous food, fast service & lovely staff. Spring rolls & garlic breaded mushrooms were cooked perfectly and the lasagne tasted amazing. Kids were happy with their meals leaving empty plates. We were well looked after. Definitely recommend”.

Coxy’s Kitchen is open on Hanover Street 11.30am - 2.30pm Monday to Friday and from 11.30am to 6.30pm Saturday and Sunday.
