What drew you to tattooing as a form of art rather than other creative mediums?
Tattooing felt alive in a way other mediums didn’t. It’s art that moves, grows, and tells a deeply personal story for each person. The idea that my work becomes part of someone’s identity is incredibly powerful and rewarding.

Your early style was inspired by medieval engravings. What initially attracted you to that aesthetic?
I’ve always been fascinated by history and symbolism. Medieval engravings have a richness and depth that convey profound meaning through intricate details. That meticulous craftsmanship resonated with me, and I wanted to translate it into tattoos.

How did moving to the United States influence your artistic evolution?
It was transformative. The U.S. is a melting pot of cultures and ideas, and being exposed to that diversity opened my mind to new possibilities. It gave me the freedom to experiment and reinvent my style, merging traditional tattooing with a more modern, fashion-forward approach.

What does your creative process look like when designing a tattoo?
It starts with understanding my client’s story and vision. Then I draw inspiration from art, architecture, and even textures in fashion. I sketch until I find the balance between their personality and my artistic voice. Each piece is a dialogue between us.

What role does collaboration with clients play in your work?
It’s everything. The best tattoos are born from trust and collaboration. Clients share their ideas, and I interpret them through my style. It’s a partnership that ensures the final design feels authentic and personal.

Do you think tattooing can ever be truly mainstream while still remaining an art form?
Absolutely. Art evolves with its audience, and tattoos are no exception. They’re already part of high fashion and contemporary culture. As long as artists stay true to their craft and push creative boundaries, tattooing will remain a respected art form.

How do you navigate trends in tattooing while maintaining your own distinct style?
Trends can be inspiring, but they’re fleeting. I use them as a starting point to explore new ideas, but I always adapt them to fit my own aesthetic. My focus is on creating timeless pieces that resonate beyond a trend.

What advice would you give someone aspiring to build a career as a tattoo artist?
Master the fundamentals, but don’t be afraid to experiment. Your unique perspective is your strength. And never stop learning. This industry evolves constantly, and staying adaptable is key.

What do you see as the future of tattooing in terms of cultural relevance?
I believe tattoos will continue to merge with other art forms, especially fashion and design. They’ll become even more integrated into how we express identity and individuality.

What has been the most rewarding moment in your career so far?
Seeing my clients’ reactions when they first look at their tattoo. Knowing I’ve created something that resonates so deeply with them is a feeling that never gets old.

How do you unwind or recharge creatively when you’re not tattooing?
Traveling is my reset button. Exploring new places and cultures always sparks fresh ideas. I also sketch or experiment with other mediums like painting. It keeps my creativity flowing.

You are very popular among your colleagues! What do you think is the reason for such interest?

I believe my popularity stems from my unique approach to tattooing. It's not just about creating designs, but about telling stories and pushing artistic boundaries. I've always been passionate about transforming tattooing from a traditional craft into a true art form that bridges personal expression, fashion, and contemporary culture.

I've also been intentional about maintaining artistic integrity while evolving. I don't chase trends - I use them as inspiration to create something timeless. This philosophy has earned me respect among my colleagues. They see that I'm committed to elevating tattooing as a legitimate art form, not just a commercial practice.

In fact, I'm planning to launch a master class in the future. This will be an opportunity to share my techniques, artistic philosophy, and insights with emerging tattoo artists who want to push the boundaries of the craft.

What’s your ultimate goal as an artist?
To keep pushing the boundaries of what tattooing can be. I want to continue evolving, creating art that inspires and leaves a lasting mark, not just on skin but on the industry itself.
