Luckily, the universe did not implode under the sheer weight of the Duchess of Sussex and Beyoncé's star power at the premiere for The Lion King - though fans OBVIOUSLY got very excited.
Both women adopted very different- but no less amazing - looks for the red and paw-patterned carpet.
Meghan Markle opted for simple elegance in a black Jason Wu dress, whereas Beyonce went full Queen Bey in a gold Nguyem Cong Tri gown.
It was a statement dress, complete with daring hip high split which Beyoncé showcased proudly when doing the rounds on the carpet.
Then came the moment for the stars behind the Disney live-action remake to line up inside to meet Harry and Meghan - which is when Beyoncé's dress seemed to undergo a subtle change.
That split up the side was nowhere to be seen as Meghan and Jay-Z shared a warm hug.
Of course, it could be that the Formation singer's dress just happened to fall that way at that moment.
Or did she decide to adopt a less risqué look for her royal meeting?
We can't imagine Beyoncé succumbing to any pressure - real or perceived - and towing a more conservative line.
Then again, maybe she did decided to play it safe.
Either way, HOW cute was it when she called Meghan "My princess!"?
