Beyoncé’s mother is a proud parent.
Tina Knowles-Lawson congratulated her daughter after the artist made history in the Billboard Hot 100 charts.
The Twitter account @chartdata, which tracks performers’ charts performances, recently shared an update stating that Beyoncé has had at least one song on the Hot 100 list over each of the past 24 years.
Knowles-Lawson shared a screenshot of the tweet on her Instagram account, writing: “Congratulations Beyoncé
“You’ve been doing the damn thing since you were 16 years old .”
She pointed out that Megan Thee Stallion’s remix of her own track “Savage” had just made the 2020 ranking.
The tune has been on the Billboart Hot 100 chart for eight weeks and recently peaked in second position.
“Congrats Megan!!!” Knowles-Lawson added.
The Destiny’s Child first hit single, “No, No, No”, was released in November 1997 and peaked in third position on the Hot 100 chart in 1998.
“Say My Name”, ”Independent Women Part I”, “Bills, Bills, Bills”, and “Bootylicious” all reached the ranking’s top position in subsequent years.
As a solo artist, Beyoncé has had 64 songs including in the Hot 100 list, including number one hits such as “Irreplaceable”, “Baby Boy”, “Crazy In Love”, and “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)”.
