Netflix will release a documentary about Beyoncé later this month, focusing on her headline performance at Coachella festival last year.
The streaming site has today unveiled a two-minute trailer for the documentary, titled Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé, with a voiceover from the poet and civil rights activist Maya Angelou.
It will be released on April 17, which coincides with the one-year anniversary of the performance.
The two-hour Coachella set saw Beyonce make history by becoming the first black woman to headline the festival.
She opened the set with 2003 single “Crazy in Love” before inviting husband Jay-Z on stage to perform their 2006 collaboration “Déjà Vu”.
Beyoncé also reunited with former Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowlands and Michelle Williams during the concert, performing hit singles “Lose My Breath”, “Say My Name” and “Soldier”.
A Netflix spokesman said: “This intimate, in-depth look at Beyoncé’s celebrated 2018 Coachella performance reveals the emotional road from creative concept to cultural movement.”
Further details of the documentary have yet to be confirmed.
The singer had been due to perform at Coachella in 2017 but was forced to withdraw from the festival after becoming pregnant with twins Rumi and Sir.
She released her most recent album Lemonade in 2016 to critical acclaim, and will voice Nala in the upcoming remake of Disney’s The Lion King, to be released in July. She is also rumoured to be working on new music.
