Beyoncé's haircare brand, Cécred, has made its highly anticipated debut, accompanied by a philanthropic initiative from her charity, BeyGOOD. The Cécred x BeyGOOD Fund has pledged $500,000 annually to support cosmetology-school students and local businesses across major cities in the U.S.

The fund aims to promote professionalism, entrepreneurship, and talent within the hair industry by providing scholarships and grants. Five cosmetology schools in Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, and New Jersey will receive a total of $250,000 for student scholarships. The selected schools offer inclusive curriculums and aim to support students facing financial hardships.

Students enrolled or accepted into these schools can apply for scholarships until March 20, with recipients announced on April 20. Additionally, the fund will award $250,000 annually to salon business owners in the same cities to help sustain their impact on the community.

Salon owners who have been in business for at least a year and hold a cosmetology license can apply for grants to support their businesses. The application process requires demonstrating financial need and ownership of a salon or lease agreement.

Beyoncé's haircare line draws inspiration from her childhood experiences in her mother's salon in Houston. The brand's Foundation collection features eight products designed to cleanse, condition, and strengthen hair. Powered by Bioactive Keratin Ferment and honey, the collection offers a range of haircare solutions, including a scalp scrub, hydrating shampoo, deep conditioner, and more.

The Cécred team describes the collection as a transformative ritual that provides the foundation for expressing one's hair in ways that evoke confidence and beauty. Beyoncé's venture into the haircare industry is deeply rooted in her personal history and cultural heritage, reflecting her commitment to honoring her mother's legacy and empowering women through haircare.
