Bexley stabbing: Man, 20, fighting for life after being stabbed in the chest

A 20-year-old man is fighting for life after being stabbed in the chest in Bexley.

He has been rushed to hospital after police found him following being called to reports of fighting in Barnehurst Avenue.

A 17-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, police said.

MPS Bexley, writing on Twitter, said: "Police were called at 14:48hrs on Sunday, 13 October to Barnehurst Avenue, #Bexley, following reports of males fighting in the street.

"A 20-year-old man was found suffering from a stab injury to his chest. He has been taken to an east London hospital, where his condition is being treated as life-threatening."

Police are investigating the incident.
