Bettor suffers brutal 5K beat on last-second Cowboys touchdown

Talk about an awful way to lose a bet.

The over/under on the Dallas Cowboys-New York Giants game Monday night at MetLife Stadium was 48.5 points. TVG host Dave Weaver posted a friend’s ticket, which showed a $4,995 wager placed on the under.

Everything seemed in the bag — or wallet — as Dallas led 30-18 — 48 points – until Daniel Jones took what turned out to be a fateful final snap in the Cowboys’ victory.

The Giants’ rookie QB, who has an awful case of fumble-itis, took the ball on a first-and-10 at the Dallas 24. And this happened:

The touchdown sent the Cowboys to 36 points and they added the PAT to make the final 37-18. And the thrill of victory on a bet turned into the agony of defeat for the bettor who placed the wager.
