Arsenal began their pre-season tour in the United States with a 3-0 win over Colorado Rapids and one player in particular caught the eye of supporters.
Promising winger Bukayo Saka and James Olayinka were both on the scoresheet, while the likes of Eddie Nketiah, Dominic Thompson and Robbie Burton impressed.
But the name on most fans' lips is that of Gabriel Martinelli.
The teenager is the north London outfit's one and only signing in the summer transfer window thus far and he's been given an opportunity to stake a claim for a first-team spot ahead of the new season.
A goal on his debut isn't a bad way to start.
He capped off a impressive performance by turning home Thompson's cross to make it 3-0 just after the hour mark.
Martinelli is the ninth Brazilian player to join the Gunners, and he says he hopes to emulate the success of some of his compatriots who have previously featured for the club.
"I know Edu, Denilson and I know that they have a lot of history at the club," Martinelli told Arsenal's official website after joining.
"Edu, in particular, I had a little contact with him at Corinthians as I had a spell there and I know they had a lot of success here but also for the national team. I am going to try to follow the same route."
But there's a few other Brazilians - with no ties to Arsenal - who some supporters have been comparing Martinelli to.
