Chelsea forward Kai Havertz scored the opening goal for Germany in their World Cup Qualifier against Armenia.
The 22-year-old scored in the 15th minute on Sunday night with a clever run across the face of goal to latch on the end of a cross to poke home for his side.
There were concerns over the fitness of the Blues player ahead of the game, with him missing out on some training sessions in the week.
However, Germany head coach Hansi Flick confirmed the forward was fit for the game, starting him from the off in the game and being rewarded with an opener from Havertz.
The Chelsea man has struggled at times this season under Thomas Tuchel.
He has been forced to play up front in the absence of Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner, sometimes failing to get himself into games and on the scoresheet.
The Germany international has made ten appearances in the Premier League so far, scoring twice and assisting once in those fixtures.
The goal on national duty will be a positive for Tuchel and his side in hoping he will kick on after finding the net.
