Better Call Saul Season 6: Will Walter White and Jesse Pinkman return for part 2?

It’s hard to believe we are living in the midst of a Breaking Bad universe.

Since the hit AMC show first hit screens in 2007, it quickly became one of the most popular series of all time, with reviews and audiences praising it.

Since then, Better Call Saul has explored the origins of Jimmy McGill, aka, Saul Goodman, the corrupt but infectiously endearing lawyer from the original series.

There has also been a movie sequel, Netflix's El Camino, that caught up with Jesse Pinkman after he escaped his horrendous ordeal at the end of Breaking Bad.

Now, there is a chance we could see him again, along with his twisted partner in crime, Walter White.

Will Walter and Jesse appear in Better Call Saul?

Last month (June), it was revealed that both Walter and Jesse, played by Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, will be making an appearance in the prequel.

The news delighted fans, though it is unclear show exactly they will show up.

As the series is set before Walt broke bad, chances are we could see him as a teacher again, with Jesse in his class.

Alternatively, there could be a flashforward revealing a new moment the two shared, similar to the flashback cameo in El Camino.

Co-showrunner Peter Gould recently teased the cameo in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

He said: "You're going to see Walt and Jesse this season, but I think the way you see them and when you see them won't necessarily be what you'd expect.

"The thing that I'm really proud of is that we waited to see them until it was right for this story.

"Of course, the low-hanging fruit would've been to have them appear early in season 1, to kick the show off.

“I think the way that they do appear is all about the story of Jimmy McGill and Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn) and Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks). I hope you agree when you see it."

What is the release date of Better Call Saul season 6 part 2?

Better Call Saul season 6 part 2 will premiere on July 11 on AMC and AMC+ in the USA and on Netflix in the UK.

Episodes will release weekly due to the fact it is an AMC series, so once again fans won’t be able to binge it in one sitting.

There will be six episodes in this second part, one less that the seven in part one.

Is Better Call Saul season 6 part 2 the end?

There have been rumours of new spin-offs for Better Call Saul (Allstar/SONY PICTURES TELEVISION)

Better Call Saul season 6 part 2 is the final for the show but that doesn’t mean it’s the end of the Breaking Bad-verse.

AMC+ recently premiered its six-part animated spin-off Slippin’ Jimmy, which follows the misadventures of Saul when he was just a child.

There is also Rhea Seehorn’s six-part short form digital series, Cooper’s bar which dropped on the streamer in May.

As for a full-blown Kim Wexler spin-off, there have been murmurs of this over the last few years.

Rhea shared her thoughts on her character getting a dedicated series, telling Deadline: "You know, [showrunners] Peter [Gould] and Vince [Gilligan] have said publicly that though they feel that there are stories, mine included, that are worthwhile to continue to tell, that they do want to step away from this franchise for a beat.

“So that’s all I can say about that. You’d have to ask them for specifics beyond that.

“Nobody is being coy about anything, but I’m also very grateful that they and fans feel like there is an ellipse to who Kim is and who Kim was."
