A 'betrayed' wife has divided fellow mums after threatening to abandon her children because her husband went to a strip club.
The woman discovered her hubby of seven years had been to a lap-dancing club with his pals last weekend after seeing 'transactions totalling £100' on his bank statement.
The mum-of-two asks other mums for advice on how to deal with the 'betrayal' before saying she is leaving him - and will 'have to leave my children' too.
Posting on mumsnet.com, she says: "I have just discovered transactions totalling £100 at a lap dancing club last weekend.
"He knows that I do not think it's acceptable within our marriage .
"The reason I don't find it acceptable is if he was having a sexual experience with a woman in a hotel that would be called infidelity. I'm not sure why it doesn't amount to that in a private area of a lap dancing club?"
The woman asks for advice and almost all comments support her decision to ditch her 'cheating' husband.
But when the exasperated mum says: "I know he won't leave the house. I know that categorically. I will have to leave my children tonight ," she is sent a flurry of replies pleading with her not to 'abandon' her kids.
One mum says: "I’m confused about why you’re considering leaving your children?"
Another adds: "Don’t leave your children, take them with you."
But the mum says she can't afford to take them: "I just don't want to be with someone like this. I have to leave today, I know he won't. I can afford car hire, hotel etc, but I'm leaving my children."
Mumsnet users keep urging the woman not to leave her kids.
One mum said: "Don't leave your children. I know you are reeling this minute in time, but for them to wake up and find you gone is a trauma to them that your behaviour and reaction are a factor in creating.
"Cool your jets Mrs. Give yourself time to think but that doesn't mean abandoning your kids."
Another said: "You don't need to leave your children or leave the house in order to leave the marriage."
The woman eventually calms down and agrees to stay until she has made a definite decision, but the chatter goes on to debate the seriousness of his actions.
One woman says: "£100 he could spend on his family instead of shoving down a stranger’s knickers. Nice."
Although not everyone thought the man's 'crime' was so bad, with one mum commenting: "I don't think it's that serious personally but what a fool using his debit card instead of cash."
