A man and woman in their 50s have been charged with bestiality by Tasmanian police after a graphic video was circulated online.

The 54-year-old man and 57-year-old woman, from the state's south, were on Wednesday charged with bestiality and taking part in prohibited activities in a cemetery.

It comes after police issued a warning about two videos being circulated online.

One allegedly showed inappropriate behaviour at a gravesite, while the other is said to involve two people and a fish.

The couple will appear in Hobart Magistrates Court at a later date.

Police are reminding the public it is an offence to possess or distribute the bestiality-related video.
