Bestiality charge after Central Coast police investigation into video

A MAN has been formally charged with bestiality after a Tuggerah Lakes police investigation.

Officers from the command began inquiries in ealy June after they were alerted to a video "that depicted sexual acts between a woman and a dog".

On Wednesday June 24 their investigation led them to search a property on Dyers Road at Argents Hill, west of Nambucca Heads, about 7.50am.

Upon searching the premises police seized cannabis, a mobile phone, a laptop and a number of USB devices and SD cards.

On the same day police arrested a 41-year-old man at the same address.

He was taken to Macksville police station and charged with possess prohibited drug, bestiality and intentionally distribute intimate image without consent.

The 41-year-old received conditional bail to face court on Thursday.
