Jack Clarke’s predictable transfer to Tottenham Hotspur from Leeds United was announced this morning.
Spurs fans have been waiting more than 500 days for a permanent transfer and, as such, there was an unusual mix of reaction to Clarke’s signature.
While there was optimism around how good the 18-year-old may prove to be in the long-term future, there was some disappointment about his immediate return to Elland Road.
Tanguy Ndombele is the big name the London club are expected to recruit in the near therefore were a few disappointed the announcement was Clarke and not the Frenchman.
