Best yet to come as Lee eyes second Kirkwood Cup

Min Woo Lee is confident he has another gear to shoot clear of a crowded leaderboard and claim a second Kirkwood Cup in Brisbane.

The popular West Australian will begin the Australian PGA Championship's final round one shot behind co-leaders David Puig, Anthony Quayle and Ricardo Gouveia after shooting a four-under 67 on Saturday.

There are 31 players within six strokes of the lead, including two-time champion Adam Scott and an on-song Marc Leishman, both 11 under.

Lee has ground to this point in stormy, humid conditions on greens that have kept the field honest.

"It's just one of those courses where if you're just off ... it can bite you in the butt," the 2023 champion said.

"You can go low, but you have to have your full game.

"No-one's broken (from) the pack ... I haven't had my best stuff yet.

"So hopefully tomorrow can be that day."

Lee slipped back from the leaders with his only bogey on the 15th after finding the cart path, under trees, with his tee shot.

LIV Golf talent Puig was bogey free while others bounced around but admits he'll feel the sense of occasion with the likes of former Masters champion and world No.1 Adam Scott breathing down his neck.

"His swing is unbelievable and we all watch his swings a million times," the Spaniard said.

"I've got lucky enough throughout my short career to play with a good amount of really good players ... but yeah, you still see Adam Scott and he's such a legend, right?

"So it's a dream come true to be here and playing against him."
