Arsenal have today announced that Raul Sanllehi will be leaving the club, the latest in a line of significant changes behind the scenes at the Emirates Stadium.
Following on from the recent overhaul to the recruitment team, which saw Francis Cagigao and Brian McDermott amongst the 55 Arsenal employees made redundant, the Gunners have announced their biggest change of all.
Sanllehi arrived at Arsenal from Barcelona and played an instrumental role in the appointment of Unai Emery, which ultimately ended poorly after his sacking last year.
12 months ago, Edu arrived as the club's new technical director and the Brazilian will now have full responsibility of the recruitment alongside Mikel Arteta himself.
Plenty of fans flocked to social media to express their thoughts on the departure of Sanllehi, with opinions on the matter split - although the majority seemed to agree it was a good decision.
There are still questions that need to be answered around the club moving forward and it remains to be seen if the change affects the transfer business being undertaken this summer.
