'Best we've had in years' - Nottingham Forest fans react to shirt launch

Nottingham Forest have finally revealed their new home shirt - and the Reds will hope to be toasting promotion in it next season.

With the Championship campaign due to kick-off next month, Forest released the new design to supporters which is a stylish design containing white sleeves and collar, plus red piping.

Made by Macron, the shirt will carry the Football Index sponsor for the second successive season after the gambling company extend their deal which is the biggest in the club's history.

"The club are delighted to announce the continuation of this partnership with Football Index,” said Reds chief commercial officer Cook.

“We have enjoyed getting to know the team at Football Index well over the last 12 months and we are thrilled that they will again be supporting the Reds in the next campaign.

"We know our fans really embraced some of the fantastic campaigns run by Football Index last season, which saw hundreds of supporters benefit from prizes such as exclusive hospitality, signed merchandise and money-can’t-buy experiences."

After the launch, we took to Twitter to see what fans had to say about the new-look shirt. Here are some of the best comments.

The new Forest home kit (NFFC)

David Hobson: Nicest I’ve seen for a few years. Will be ordering 3x boys.

Ollie Clay: Take my money.

Adam Gibb: A thing of beauty, best shirt yet guys.

Neil J Bob: Looks like another great shirt I will be wearing with pride, awesome work.

Oli: Macron shirts have been the best we’ve had in years. We are actually getting a shirt designed for us rather then the badge and sponsor thrown on a pre-made design by Adidas.

The Rookie: First Forest kit I’m buying since the 1996 one.

Joe Flint: Love it... way better than last years home kit... looking forward to seeing the away.

The new away kit, which is a combination of yellow and blue is expected to be released later in August.

Supporters can purchase the 2020/21 kit online only, with all adult and junior shirts now available for £49 and £38 and shorts for £25 and £20 respectively, with adult and junior socks available for £12 from  shop.nottinghamforest.co.uk
