A Liverpool restaurant has been dubbed the 'best vegan' option in the city and well worth discovering whether you live nearby or need to make the trip into town.
Sanskruti aims to offer guests an authentic Indian dining experience with every single dish meat-free.
Operating on Bixteth Street in the city centre, visitors can choose from the likes of a starter such as a Daal Makhani - smoked whole black lentils simmered for several hours with fresh cream, butter and blend of garam masala or Ragda Patis - Potato patty dipped in Marrowfat peas gravy and topped with an assortment of chutneys, garnished with crispy sev, onions and coriander, among others.

Most items can even be prepared to your liking, with the options of mild, medium or hot available on request.
Rating the restaurant five stars and good value on our sister site 2chill, one reviewer said: "Best vegetarian and vegan Indian food in Liverpool. They take just as much care with their takeaway food as they always did in the restaurant.
"Quality is fabulous and variety on the menu is brilliant. From ordering over the phone to having the food at home took less than an hour. We do collection because we're outside the delivery radius but it's worth the drive!"
Her review is hardly surprising as Sanskruti was once named among the 50 Best Vegan-Friendly Restaurants, not just in England or the UK, but in the world!
The classical cuisine restaurant, which also operates in Manchester, is fully licensed, meaning guests can cool their tongues down with a pint or two.
Sanskruti is open Tuesday to Friday from 5-10:30pm, 1-10:30pm on Saturdays and 1-9:30pm on Sundays. It is closed on Mondays including Bank Holidays and you can book a table here.
