Golfers looking for a mini break just got heaps of inspiration courtesy of Expedia.
As part of the company's Summer of Britain report, the travel experts have unveiled the UK's top 10 best golf cities, looking at traveller reviews to determine the best spots - and the hotels not to miss.
St Andrews in Scotland topped the list, impressing with its beautiful golf courses, incredible scenery, and hotels which also offer up plenty of opportunity for relaxation.
One for the bucket list is the Old Course, which not only happens to be the oldest golf course in the world, but is surrounded by stunning scenery
Oh, and there's even more good news as the Old Course Hotel offers up the ultimate stay right by tee off, with heaps of luxurious offerings for guests including afternoon tea, spa treatments, and even horse riding on the beach.

Expedia's research revealed that Scotland is well worth adding to the list, with the top three cities being Scottish. In fact, half of the places on the list are in Scotland.
Second place went to Kirknewton, where the Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club features two 18-hole courses, one designed by James Braid to Championship standard.

Meanwhile Carnoustie took the third spot. It's no surprise that Carnoustie proved a hit with visitors; it boasts four famous courses including its historic Championship Course.
