The Los Angeles Rams made their third notable move of the offseason on Monday, signing former Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles to be Jared Goff’s backup. The terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed, but it’s a one-year deal, allowing Bortles to hopefully get his career back on track under the tutelage of Sean McVay.
Bortles’ tenure in Jacksonville came to a screeching halt as he was benched for Cody Kessler last season, just one year after nearly leading the Jaguars to the Super Bowl. With Bortles being such a polarizing player, Twitter had jokes, hot takes and some hilarious reactions to the news.
