Arsenal have been linked with a shock move for Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho.
Reports suggest the Gunners could land the former Liverpool man on a loan deal ahead of Thursday’s 5pm deadline.
Coutinho has struggled at Camp Nou, scoring 13 times in more than 50 league appearances since his £142 million move from Liverpool in January 2018.
And it could get worse this season following Barca’s signing of Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid, leaving Coutinho unlikely to make Ernesto Valverde’s starting XI.
The Brazilian could now be set to move to the Emirates Stadium in a bid to rediscover his confidence and to ensure he gets regular football at the top level.
