Best toy deals to expect for Black Friday 2023: Offers on kids’ games and Christmas gifts

Kids’ toys are notoriously expensive, and it seems as though the prices for their favourite Barbies, Star Wars memorabilia and Bluey stuffed animals just keep on going up.

Shopaholics and retail connoisseurs, however, will have marked their calendars long ago for the annual sales extravaganza that is Black Friday. The only time of year for guaranteed bargains on everything from large home appliances, furniture, clothing, accessories and – of course – kids’ games and toys, Black Friday is when savvy parents, grandparents, aunties and uncles will stockpile stocking-fillers and Christmas gifts.

Since it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, with temperatures dropping to zero and below, it’s time to start planning ahead for the holiday season. Santa’s workshop has certainly been in overdrive, and now it’s our turn to get in gear.

When is Black Friday?

Black Friday falls on the last weekend of November every year, just after American Thanksgiving. This year, that means that Black Friday will take place on November 24.

What is Black Friday?

The annual sales event originally served as a post-Thanksgiving, pre-Christmas sales event which urged the American public into department stores in troves to stockpile presents and goodies for the holiday season.

Since its journey across the Atlantic, however, Black Friday has been solidified in the calendars of shopaholics preparing for Christmas and beyond all year – with incredible deals on offer on everything from large and small home appliances, high street clothing brands, tech, as well as kid’s toys and essentials.

When does Black Friday end?

The Black Friday sales weekend ends with Cyber Monday, which falls on November 27 this year.

What kind of kids’ toy deals can we expect?

We can expect to see tablet prices slashed on big brands sold at some of our favourite retailers including Argos, Very, Selfridges and more.

Are there any kids’ toy discounts available now?
