'Best striker in the world!' - Arsenal fans go nuts as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang wins award

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the Premier League Player of the Month for September.

And Arsenal fans are delighted.

Last month was simply a brilliant one for the in-form Gunners striker and it's mainly down to him that Unai Emery's side have gone into the second international break of the season in third place.

Aubameyang scored in every single game - including rescuing a point against both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United - whilst also netting a brace in the draw with Watford at Vicarage Road.

Arguably his biggest impact came in the 3-2 win over newly-promoted Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium.

Having passed on penalty duties to club record signing Nicolas Pepe earlier in the game, the 30-year-old netted a superb free-kick inside the final 10 minutes to secure all three points for 10-man Arsenal.

His reward for such an outstanding month was being nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month award.

Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold, Manchester City duo Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez, John McGinn of Aston Villa, Tottenham's Son Heung-min, Leicester City's Ricardo Pereira and Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson were all in the running.

But it's the Arsenal striker who has come out on top.

As expected, there has been a huge reaction from Arsenal fans to this news on social media.
