Bugs and glitches are easily the most annoying elements in the whole gaming scene. Whether it’s Cyberpunk 2077 with its horrendous NPC teleportation or Assassin’s Creed Unity’s horrific eyeballs display. Players are more than generous to developers for fixing all of these issues.
However, there’s one franchise where glitches are enjoyed rather than criticized. Skate, especially after the release of Skate 2, has long been praised for its funny and chaotic bugs that quickly became the franchise’s charm. These weren’t just fun to look at, but also served as an advantage to go crazy fast or pull off insane jumps.
Fast forward to Skate 4 and the legacy continues. Players can go wild around San Vansterdam with various bugs, such as the famous launch glitch and other jaw-droppers, that contribute to the game’s action-packed nature. That said, here are some of the best glitches Skate 4 has to offer.
Best Skate 4 Glitches

Get-Inside-The-Ground Glitch
While this glitch doesn’t give you an edge or a competitive advantage, getting inside the ground or below the map still sounds cool. Here, you exploit the game and somehow exceed the floor limits to slingshot beneath it. Follow these steps to perform this extraordinary move:
- Reach the top of the Tri-Towers.
- Jump and roll
- Aim for the black bar below the three architectural lines.
- Hit it and no-clip through the ground.
After following these simple steps, you can get inside the ground. From here, you can feed your curiosity and uncover what it’s like to see San Vansterdam from the depths — something that the developers have restricted.
Consistent Launch Glitch
Whether fun or groundbreaking, for developers, glitches are glitches. With a lot of them patched after the Season 1 update, players have worked their way around to discover new ones. Launch glitches usually catch extra attention as they help you fly around the city and reach heights that the normal gameplay can never make up for.
Out of all the alternatives, this particular launch bug has made it to our list. Simply follow the steps below, and you’ll be all set:
- Deploy a scaffold and place a manual pod on top of it.
- Get on top using the board and reach any of its edges.
- Leave the skateboard hanging once you reach the falling point.
- Simply run towards this board and press jump just before you reach it.
As soon as you press jump and hit the hanging board, you’ll slingshot into the air almost instantly. Here, you don’t have to skate towards a specific location; this glitch shines because you can deploy your gear anywhere and fly whenever you want.
Easiest Speed Glitch
In real life, a skater can’t go ballistic fast since basic physics rules and human limitations prevent them from doing so. However, with Skate 4, performing your favorite skating tricks at impossibly high speeds is possible.
Usually, the game doesn’t provide this inhuman capability all by itself, but thanks to various speed glitches, one can still experience the thrill. Below is the best speed bug that has slipped under the radar of the developers:
- Perform an ollie while holding the A or X button.
- Once in the air, flick the right stick up.
- Make a double grab with L2 + R2 or LT + RT.
- Leave it and make an ollie once you hit the ground.
By timing the following inputs correctly, each successful combination will provide a noticeable speed boost. Make sure to practice on long straights, as developing a muscle memory for these commands can take some time.
Hippy Jump Spin Glitch
Spinning is possible in Skate 4, but going wild like a propeller is entirely off the developers’ intent. For those looking to go round and round stupidly, try performing this glitch:
- Get on a higher ground.
- Initiate a hippy jump.
- Hold the forward diagonal and spin.
- Press RB or R1.
As soon as you push the bumper, your character will reach the ground spinning like a Beyblade. Though, don’t expect any advantage here; it’s purely for spectators’ amusement.
Pop-In-The-Air Glitch
Who doesn’t like to pop in the air while performing a showy move? Luckily, a glitch in Skate 4 has survived to enhance your presentation as you jump over a ledge or an object. The beauty of this glitch is that it’s relatively simple to master and works in just two easy steps:
- Kick flip over an object.
- Perform a no-foot air with L2/LT + Circle/B as soon as you are over the object.
That’s it. Once you successfully time these inputs, your character will initiate an additional jump mid-air. This phenomenon can either help you get on another ledge that’s usually unreachable or make you appear cooler in front of those who stick to the basics.
With the pop glitch discussed, these are all the glitches that we consider the best as of right now. Will these glitches work for you? That depends entirely on your timing. For those late to the party, all of these bugs, if not just one, are most likely to be patched with a future update. Until then, make sure to have as much fun as you can.
