Best-selling items you might have in your loft named - worth £1,800 between them

There are retro items worth a combined £1,800 languishing in people's lofts, sheds and at the back of cupboards.

That's according to a new study looking into the most in-demand items people could well have sitting unused at home.

Digital bank Thinkmoney took a look at the best-selling second-hand items on eBay at the moment, and then worked out what they could fetch you if you found them at home.

They also made sure to only include things that were pretty common at the time, and used actual sold prices rather than asking prices to get their results.

The good news is someone with all 23 items could be sitting on almost £2,000 worth of goodies.

Environmental Psychologist Lee Chambers said: “Many people report decluttering to be mindful. If you are feeling overwhelmed, you can set small goals to tackle certain areas, which will release dopamine and give you a mood boost.

"Although, I advise everyone should keep at least a few things that have such a value they would be happy to pass them on.”
