BEST ridership rises by over a lakh in a week

MUMBAI: Ridership in BEST buses has gone up by over a lakh in one week and daily revenue collection went up to over Rs 2 crore, a BEST official said on Tuesday.

The ridership was around 24.1 lakh on September 1, and it went up to 25.2 lakh on Monday while revenue collection through ticket sales was less than Rs 2 crore, and is now a little over Rs 2 crore.
