Deciding what to watch on Prime Video can be surprisingly tough, particularly when the top 10 is always shifting. With multiple trending titles competing for attention, it’s not always clear which are actually worth it. And with new content arriving so frequently, the selection can feel almost limitless.
That’s where we make things easier, cutting down the time you spend browsing. By diving into what’s trending at the moment, we’ve highlighted three standout series that are worth watching this week, all of which have returned with new seasons. That includes my favorite dark thriller series, a brutal superhero drama airing its final season, and another action-packed superhero story, this time animated.
This list is based on the Prime Video U.S. top 10 shows as of Wednesday, April 8, 2026.
Best shows in the Prime Video top 10
‘From’
I’ve written about “From” more times than I can count, usually just to shout about how underrated it still is, and I’ve been urging people to give it a chance. It’s easily one of the best shows out there, and with season 4 arriving on MGM+ on April 19, there’s never been a better time to jump in. I genuinely cannot wait. Season 3 alone proved the series doesn’t just meet expectations but surpasses them. At this point, it’s more than earned its place among the very best shows on TV right now.
“From” follows a group of strangers trapped in a small, isolated American town that no one can leave. When the Matthews family arrives after a detour, they discover the roads loop back on themselves, preventing escape. The residents, led by Sheriff Boyd Stevens (Harold Perrineau), enforce strict rules to survive, especially staying indoors after sunset when human-like creatures emerge from the surrounding forest and hunt anyone outside.

‘The Boys’
It’s safe to say “The Boys” are back. The first two episodes of season 5 are now streaming on Prime Video. If it follows the same path as previous seasons, expect even more brutal twists and larger-scale battles as Homelander tightens his grip and the Boys push back through the chaos. With eight episodes setting the stage for what showrunner Eric Kripke calls its “ultimate conclusion,” viewers are more than ready to plunge back into the carnage.
“The Boys” season 5 picks up in a world now firmly under Homelander’s (Antony Starr) control, with the United States effectively shaped by his rule. Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), and Frenchie (Tomer Capone) are imprisoned in a “Freedom Camp,” while Annie (Erin Moriarty) works to build a resistance against the growing power of the Supes. Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) is missing, and the team is scattered. Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) returns with a dangerous plan, wielding a virus capable of wiping out all Supes.

‘Invincible’
The hit animated series “Invincible” has returned for season 4. Viewers can stream the first six episodes right now, with the remaining episodes released weekly ahead of the April 22 finale. This season truly stands out in its intimate conversations and the impossible dilemmas faced by the characters, offering a rare arc of redemption and growth. One of the smartest and funniest animated shows around, it’s a must-watch.
“Invincible” season 4 continues after the events of season 3 with Mark Grayson/Invincible (Steven Yeun) struggling to recover and protect Earth while new threats emerge. The world reels from the aftermath of Mark’s brutal confrontation with Conquest (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), and Mark faces the powerful Viltrumite Empire as its main antagonist, Grand Regent Thragg (Lee Pace), appears.
