Best premium online services now free during lockdown including fitness classes and music lessons

As lockdown continues more people are searching for new ways to occupy their time and entertain the kids while they remain at home during the coronavirus crisis.

There are already a number of free viewing options available including 30-day trials on Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.

There’s also a week of free entertainment on NOW TV and the recently-launched Disney Plus channel.

And for the culturally curious, there are free ballet and opera performances from The Royal Opera House to enjoy plus incredible acrobatic shows from the world famous Cirque du Soleil.

Shane Hastings, from Dublin, has compiled a list of everything that was previously premium paid-for content, but is now being offered free - as a result of the Covid-19 lockdown.

The comprehensive list of free online services is updated daily and has become a huge hit with people looking for learning, fun and distraction, reports Hull Live.

The ‘Give Back Directory’ lists scores of free products and services available during the Covid-19 crisis.

Although the site is created for Irish people, the online services can be accessed by anyone from any location.

You can use it to access free online audiobooks, language and cookery lessons, glossy magazines, concerts and sports channels broadcasting classic games and documentaries.

Many of the biggest names in online content have decided to make their services free for the duration of the pandemic.

And the Give Back list is a great place to find them all - it covers nine main topics ranging from sport and fitness to online learning and entertainment and it includes some of the biggest names in online apps and services.

Entertainment - there are free guitar and piano lessons from some of the biggest names in music, a list of free streaming gigs from Ticketmaster that includes the likes of Dua Lipa and Miley Cyrus and links to free concerts from the opera houses of the world.

Sport - you can now get free passes to the official NBA and NFL channels - broadcasting classic games and documentaries, plus the WWE wrestling channel.

Fitness and Wellbeing - premium services like Fitbit, Peloton and Down Dog Yoga are free along with many other exercise apps and mindfulness classes.

Audiobooks and Online Magazines - Audible.com has made a huge range of books and resources free for kids during the outbreak with Audible Stories. Children’s author David Walliams is also releasing a book reading for children every morning at 11 AM.
