Forza Horizon 5 has a beautiful, sprawling map that’s filled to the brim with things to discover. You have the Gran Caldera Volcano, the La Selva Rainforest, and plenty of beautiful coastal areas. Split between all these locations are player houses that allow you to fast travel between them to get to locations quickly.
There are a total of 7 of these houses in the game, but not all of them are equal. Buying each house gives you some sort of reward, such as a Super Wheelspin, gameplay perks, and even a Porsche in the case of Buena Esperanza. Here’s a ranking of all the player houses in Forza Horizon 5.
Buenas Vistas

This is the best player house in the game, simply for the convenience it offers. It’s the second most expensive house in the game, costing a whopping 2 million credits. In return, you get a beautiful cliffside villa on the western coast that unlocks a Super Wheelspin and a fast travel perk. This perk lets you fast travel to any road in the game.
Initially, fast traveling to any road you want will cost you 10,000 credits. However, you can make this perk completely free by smashing all 50 fast travel boards across the map. This is a complete game-changer in the late game after you feel like you’ve already explored most of the roads.
It’s also a great-looking house in terms of aesthetics, and you can speed off into the distance as soon as you leave the driveway.
Hotel Castillo

Calling Hotel Castillo a house is a service to this enormous castle. This estate looks over the city of Guanajuato, and you’ll realize just how massive it is once you get to the cutscene. As such, it’s the most expensive house in the game, costing an eye-watering 5 million credits. But come on, you know you want this!
To sweeten the deal, you get one Super Wheelspin and a fantastic perk: a free Wheelspin every day. This is a great passive reward that will pay off in the long run if you play this game almost every day. If you log in regularly, this house will eventually pay for itself in credits, cars, and other rewards. The central location also makes it a good fast travel point for getting to major events in the northern sections.
La Casa Solariega

This mansion is located near the Teotihuacan ruins, making it a great choice if you’re dedicated to the Festival Playlist. For 1.5 million credits (or free with the VIP membership), you immediately get five Super Wheelspins and an exclusive Green Crown player badge. The most valuable perk here, however, is the permanent Forzathon Points Boost. This doubles the points you earn from all Horizon Arcade events.
As you can expect, this allows you to accumulate Forzathon Points at a rapid rate. You can quickly buy out the weekly Forzathon Shop and get your hands on rare cars faster than other players. In case you’re wondering about the house itself, you get a traditional Mexican-style mansion with stone archways, a large courtyard, and a spacious garage.
Buena Esperanza

Visually, this is a very distinct and unique house, mainly because of the pink and yellow exterior. You either love it or hate it, but it’s hard to deny that it stands out as a vibrant and tropical home. This house is available deep within the La Selva rainforest. Buena Esperanza is a good purchase for any player who enjoys collecting unique vehicles. This is the only property in the game that immediately rewards you with a sought-after car: 1985 Porsche 959 #185 Prodrive Rally Raid.
On top of the car, you also receive a Super Wheelspin and a goofy Chicken Suit for your driver. The house will cost you 700,000 credits, and it’s a decent enough purchase, given that you also get a unique Porsche in return. However, its remote location makes it a less viable choice if you care about fast travel.
La Cabaña

This is the most affordable house in the game, and it shows. To call a glorified shack a house is very generous, yet I can’t hate on it too much. It lacks the curb appeal, the luxury, and the breathtaking views of its counterparts, but looks can be deceiving.
La Cabaña is directly next to the Drag Strip, making it a strategic choice if you want instant access to speed tests or drag races. Upon purchasing this rustic shack, you get two Super Wheelspins and a Barn Find Rumor that eventually leads to a 1968 Renault 4L. Truth be told, the fact that you’re getting a very accessible fast travel point for 150,000 credits. It’s not a bad deal at all.
Lugar Tranquilo

This is a scenic home that is possibly a great choice for players who enjoy the photography aspect of the game. For 700,000 credits, you get a tropical house in a coastal area near Playa Azul, and the house has a very interesting mural on one wall. Upon purchasing it, you get two Super Wheelspins and the Horizon Promo perk.
This perk allows you to earn Accolate Points by capturing cars in photo mode. It’s a rewarding experience for a completely secondary game objective, and it gives you a great reason to seek out almost every car in the game. The only reason it’s at the bottom of the list is because of its niche focus and one-time bonus. It’s not exactly the strongest return on an investment.
Casa Bella

This is your very first house in the game and is given to you for free during the opening moments of the campaign. During the early game, this is the most important house you’ll rely on as it unlocks your first garage. It also unlocks the Skill Songs perk, meaning a DJ will occasionally play a “Skill Song” on the radio that doubles your skill points while the track is playing.
Other than that, there’s not much on offer here. This bright pink house with its modern design certainly stands out in terms of aesthetics, and it’s very much a love it or hate it kind of ordeal. Compared to every other house in the game that offers more interesting awards, it is technically the worst. Though it makes sense that the first house you unlock isn’t that great.
