'Best on the pitch by a mile' - Bristol City fans react to the 1-1 draw against Birmingham City

After so much change at Bristol City this week, with some significant figures departing and new faces signing resulting in a much-changed starting XI for Lee Johnson, a point at Birmingham City was welcome.

Not just because it came amid that tumult, on and off the field, and after a pretty below-par 3-1 defeat to Leeds United but the manner of the result and the identity of the goalscorer was important .

Tommy Rowe finished a brilliant Kasey Palmer through-ball and was among four debutants on show at St Andrew's which gave the Robins team a freshness they lacked against Leeds when everything looked eerily familiar.

With midfielder Adam Nagy also catching the eye, there is optimism once again and a feeling that City have finally arrived in the 2019/20 Championship.
