Best of the Best hit by volcano flight disruption

For those wondering who else might be feeling the pain of grounded flights and empty airports beyond the list we have already run through today, Best of the Best have just drawn themselves to the market's attention.

The company that displays luxury cars as competition prizes in airport terminals has been forced to issue the London market's first volcanic ash-related warning on profits as a result of deserted airports.

It says in a statement:

Due to the volcanic eruption in Iceland all of our airport sites (which are located "airside") have been closed for business since the morning of Thursday 15th April. It is currently not known how long this situation will continue.

Since we last updated investors with our interim results, trading had been in line with expectations. However, this major unforeseen disruption will negatively impact revenues and profits for the full year ending 30 April 2010.

The shares are down 3p, or 8.5%, at 32.5p.
