Best Ninja Build in Killing Floor 3

Killing Floor 3 wouldn't be a Killing Floor game if it didn't have some awesome melee butchery. Of course, no other Perk in the game is as good at slaughtering Zeds as Ninja, Killing Floor's ultimate swordsman.

The ultimate swordsman is also a quirky pick, having quite a few caveats that make him exceptionally vulnerable, particularly at higher difficulties. Constantly forced to get up close and personal with the strongest Zeds, Ninja is a challenging Perk to play. Thankfully, we've got just the build to ensure you'll never go down and always emerge the wiser in any Zed encounter.

The Best Ninja Build in KF3

Ninja is, as the name implies, savvy with all things Japan, including Shurikens, Katanas, and Kunai knives. Of course, being such, he's very melee-oriented, sporting no actual gun of his own. His ranged capacity rests on the Kunai and Shurikens, the former of which he can also use in melee. He also has quite cheap weaponry and effective default stats, making his one of the easiest builds to get early in the game.

Loadout

Though Katanas are effective, their Dosh price simply doesn't warrant their use instead of the Kiba, which Ninja gets by default. Even when fully kitted out, the Kiba will be exceptionally cheaper than the Katanas, allowing him to get everything else very quickly. Therefore, this is the loadout I think works best for him:

  • Primary:
    • Kiba:
      • Stunning Coating
      • Reinforced Grip
      • Lightweight Blade
      • Heavy Guard
      • Balanced Pommel
    • Kunai
      • Enfeebling Venom
      • Smooth Grip
      • Lightweight Blade
      • Whistler Pommel Ring
      • Expanded Ammo Pouch

These two primary weapons will let Ninja have it all: massive blocks, melee damage, and ranged options. The Kiba can do some incredible damage when kitted out properly, and even without any additions does tons of damage and cuts through Zeds like butter. With an improved blade and some other attachments, that damage is significantly increased, allowing him to cheaply acquire one of the strongest weapons in the game.

The Kunai are also great and can be used infinitely, so long as you pick them up after throwing (and don't throw them outside the map).

  • Side Arm:
    • Shuriken:
      • Enfeebling Venom
      • Triple Blades
      • Expanded Ammo Pouch

Given how much you get out of it, the Shuriken has the best price-to-performance ratio of all the side arms in KF3. With the attachments above, it'll also pack a significant punch, even penetrating through Zeds and potentially slashing multiple of them at once.

Skills

All Perks in KF3 have their own unique skill tree, concerning their overall character, gadget, and throwable grenades. Ninja is no exception and has some of the strongest buffs in the game overall, allowing him to become nigh-immortal and fight at close range without a worry in his mind. From armor buffs to HP per kill, this is my recommended Ninja skill tree:

  • Passives:
    • Yoroi
    • Kaishakunin
    • Demon Stance
    • Chi Kai Ri
    • Unyielding
  • Throwable:
    • Blunt Force
    • Capacity Increase
    • Thunderclap
    • Capacity Increase
    • Inazuma
  • Gadget:
    • Eagle Strike
    • Dead Calm
    • Red Shadow
    • Lightning Incarnate
    • Violent Sorcerer

With these skills under his belt, Ninja becomes the ultimate killing machine, capable of fighting a hundred Zeds at once. He'll heal a lot, have 150 armor total, block for immense amounts, and, on top of it all, deal tons of damage with each swing of the blade. What's more, he'll do it for next to no Dosh cost, given how powerful his default weapons are, even with the attachments.
