'Best news of 2020' shoppers excited over Asda's new Lindt item

With three months to go until Christmas the supermarkets are starting to fill up with all sorts of delicious treats to enjoy in the run up to the big day.

Now shoppers have spotted something in Asda that looks truly indulgent and after a difficult few months some are even claiming it’s the ‘best news of 2020’.

Luxury chocolate brand Lindt recently bought out its first ever sharing tin but some shoppers were less than impressed to find only 32 truffles inside.

But now it appears that all is forgiven, after a new Lindt must-have was spotted on the shelves in Asda. Pots of hazelnut and dark chocolate spreads. Yes.

Lindt chocolate spread is now available at Asda (Asda)

The spread isn’t new, in fact it’s been around since 2018, but up to now it’s only been available in selected shops and not in UK supermarkets. Now you can pick up a jar for £4.50 in your local Asda or online. Just try not to think about the calorie count.

After discovering the spread, one shopper took to Twitter to say “best news of 2020 or is it just me?”

It still hasn’t been confirmed whether this year’s Christmas market will take place in Liverpool but think of the crepes you could knock up at home with a pot of this. It would also make the perfect stocking filler as long as you don't eat it yourself first.
