Prepare yourselves for some killer television in October.
Streaming service NOW TV is launching a new slate of shows in the month of Halloween and some of them are highly-anticipated.
Notably we have the new HBO series Watchmen which continues the story of the classic Alan Moore comic but decades in the future and stars Oscar winners Regina King and Jeremy Irons.
Additionally, it's a blockbuster historical drama in the form of Catherine the Great which sees Dame Helen Mirren take on the role of a lifetime as the iconic Russian monarch.
There are also the returns of some other US television favourites including The Walking Dead and Grey's Anatomy.

Watchmen - October 21

Based on the internationally acclaimed graphic novels by Alan Moore, Watchmen is set in a world that remains in the shadow of widescale tragedy. Masked vigilantes, previously allowed to roam free, have been forced into an early retirement by an oppressive government regime. Some want to keep the streets safe, others want the truth, but all are reunited by the murder of an old friend. Director Zack "300" Snyder offers a uniquely dark and soulful take on the original story, and the film also stars Oscar winners Regina King and Jeremy Irons.
Catherine the Great – October 3 (All episodes)

Starring multi-award-winning Dame Helen Mirren, new Sky original Catherine the Great focuses on Russia's longest ruling female empress in the turbulent final years of her life. The most powerful female monarch in history, Catherine is famed across the world for her scandalous affairs and sexually liberal attitudes. This story of obsessive love and political manoeuvring is written by Nigel Williams, who won an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe for his previous work with Mirren.
The Walking Dead S10 - October 7

Season 10 of The Walking Dead comes to NOW TV on the 7th of October, just in time for Halloween. The long running series focused on a zombie apocalypse has been subject to much critical acclaim and is a must-watch for any fans of George A. Romero, survival epics or character-driven stories.
The Good Doctor S3 - October 15
Freddie Highmore returns as Dr. Shaun Murphy in the third season of critically acclaimed drama The Good Doctor, for which he was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor. Headed by House’s David Shore, the series focuses on an autistic surgeon who works to challenge the expectations of his colleagues at a prestigious hospital, and is based on a popular Korean book written by Park Jae-bum.
Grey’s Anatomy S16 - October 23
Set at a bustling Seattle hospital, Grey’s Anatomy returns for season 16. This high-intensity medical drama features an all-star cast, including Ellen Pompeo. Season 16 officially marks Grey’s Anatomy’s reputation as being the longest-running primetime medical drama in TV history, and we can’t get enough of it.
I Love You, Now Die – October
In this eye-opening new documentary brought via Sky Crime, I Love You Now Die gives you unprecedented access into a suicide case that sparked sensational headlines and captured a nation. This is the story of Michelle Carter, the teenager placed on trial for coercing her boyfriend to kill himself via a series of disturbing text messages. The case is brought to light in a way that’s sure to get crime fans pulses racing.
The Disappearance of Susan Cox Powell – October
The Disappearance of Susan Cox Powell tells the story of a 28-year-old woman in Utah, who abruptly vanished from her home in 2009. In A Man’s World – October
Titans of the TV world Viola Davis and Julius Tennon are teaming up for In A Man’s World, a new social experiment series which will document the journeys of four women (from a professional pool player to a pastor) who morph into men with the help of Academy Award-winning makeup artists and skilled voice and movement coaches.
