Best mouthwash brands that could help kill coronavirus

Just when you think you’ve heard it all, a report was released yesterday examining how effective mouthwash is in reducing coronavirus in saliva.

The good news? It confirmed that mouthwash can kill coronavirus within 30 seconds of being exposed to it.

The report, which came via Cardiff University, said that mouthwashes containing at least 0.07 per cent cetypyridinium chloride (CPC) showed "promising signs" of combatting the virus.

While the study didn’t confirm whether mouthwash has the potential to reduce the actual levels of Covid-19 in saliva, it seems as good an idea as any to bag yourself a bottle of the bacteria-killing liquid.

And Covid aside, mouthwash has been touted as an effective way of controlling bad breath and reducing cavities, which begs the question: what’re you waiting for?
