Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 requires optimal mouse and keyboard settings, as they directly impact your performance, from tracking targets to executing advanced movement techniques.
Unlike aiming with controllers, aiming with a keyboard and mouse requires more precision, rapid key response, and personalized tweaks that separate casual players from competitors. BO7 features fluid omnidirectional movement, making it even more important for you to fine-tune sensitivity, aim response, and keybinds.
With that said, here are the best mouse and keyboard settings to use in Black Ops 7.

How to determine the best mouse settings for BO7

To determine the best mouse settings for BO7, you have to check what type of mouse you have. Is it lightweight (like the Razer Viper V3 Pro wireless, weighing only 54 grams) or a bulky device, such as the Logitech G502 Hero that weighs 121 grams and comes with optional extra weights totaling up to 18 grams?
Having 800 to 1000 DPI (Dots per Inch) is the standard for reliable control and muscle memory, but in my case, the DPI is significantly lower (400), with a wide mousepad. I prefer arm movement over wrist movement, thanks to countless Counter-Strike 2 and Rainbow Six matches.
It boils down to two facts:
- Heavier mouse = More DPI
- Light mouse = Less DPI
From there, you can adjust the sensitivity slider accordingly. The recommended range is 5.5 to 8.0; 5.5 suits players more with a lighter mouse, while 8.0 suits aimers with a heavier mouse.
Best mouse settings for Black Ops 7
Here are the best mouse settings I’ve found useful in Black Ops 7:

- Mouse Sensitivity: 6 (you can adjust accordingly)
- ADS Sensitivity Multiplier: 0.95
- Look Inversion (On Foot): Standard
- Simplified Controls Preset: Off
- Low Motor Strain Preset: Off
-
Mouse Advanced Settings:
- Custom Sensitivity Per Zoom: Off
- ADS Sensitivity Transition Timing: Gradual
- ADS Sensitivity Type: Relative
- 3rd Person ADS Correction Type: Precision
- Monitor Distance Coefficient: 1.33
-
Mouse Calibration:
- Mouse Acceleration: 0
- Mouse Filtering: 0
- Mouse Smoothing: Off
- Mouse Wheel Delay: 80
- Use System Mouse Cursor: Off
For the sensitivity settings, adjust until the turn speed and tracking feel comfortable. The Aim Down Sights Sensitivity Multiplier should be between 0.90 and 0.95, as it’s optimal for mid-to-long-range accuracy without hindering target adjustments.
A Monitor Distance Coefficient of 1.33 balances hip-fire and ADS tracking, especially for widescreen monitors. Coming to the other advanced settings, set Mouse Acceleration to zero for raw and predictable tracking. Turn both Mouse Filtering and Smoothing off for direct input with no post-processing.
A Mouse Wheel Delay of maximum 80 ms helps lower values register faster actions, as it’s important for scroll actions like weapon swaps.

- Finishing Move Behavior: Prioritize Finishing Move

For the keybind settings, I would say the default keybinds are pretty much good to go. But if you want to bind them to different keys, you can do that as well at your convenience.
Avoid making too many drastic changes at once, as this can disrupt muscle memory and lead to inconsistent gameplay. You should also revisit your settings after major game updates or meta shifts because movement speed or aiming mechanics may change.
