Every best man wants to nail that all important speech on the most special day in any couple's life, but this best man went the extra mile.
Carl Daniels, 40, from Llanelli gave newlyweds Gavin and Alexandra Lemon a speech they will certainly never forget, by doing an entire Greatest Showman music video parody.
Mr and Mrs Lemon met online on Match.com, and had their first date on April 6, 2015, wandering around Amroth and Saundersfoot.
They married at Fairyhill in the Gower on Thursday, October 31, 2019.
Mr Daniels, who dressed up as the bearded lady for the parody, said: "I've known the groom since I was three. I could have just gone for the standard best man speech, but I thought this is just not going to do for them.
"He is full of character and he loves the Greatest Showman, so I contacted weCREATE to do this for them."
weCREATE is a creative company based in Swansea , covering all aspects of photography, videography and design. According to the company, its services have taken them worldwide.
Mr Daniels said it was a tight squeeze getting the video sorted, but well worth it. He went to a recording studio the Friday before, filmed it on the Tuesday, and the wedding was on the Thursday.
The video dramatically starts in black and white as Mr Daniels puts on his beard and wig, as This Is Me begins to play.
"Congratulations Gav and Al, because today you say that you would take each other's hands," he sings.
"I have the honour of being your best man, although right now I fear my speech might be going down the pan.
"But Gav and Alexandra have been wed, they're consummated when they go to bed.
"I wonder if they're going red."
The chorus starts as Mr Daniels prances down backstage corridors before making his way on stage, where family and friends all join in.
He continues to sing: "They're the Posh and Becks of Llanelli town. Alex is looking lush in her wedding gown.
"And Gav's suit is a beaut, it was always going to be their pristine.
"They met on Match.com and Gav thought that Alex was the bomb."
By the end of his on-screen performance, a teary eyed bearded lady reveals her true identity, singing: "Gav and Alex I want to say, I've been honoured to be your best man today.
"And I do wish for you all the love in the world.
"Look it's me."
Mrs Lemon, from Narberth, whose new husband Gavin is from Llanelli, said the video bagged their best man a standing ovation and would be something she'd never forget.
She said: "Gavin knows Carl as well as anyone, so we were expecting him to pull off a great speech with some form of props and visual aids - but we never expected what was to come.
"We were totally blown away by it, along with the rest of the guests who all gave Carl a well deserved standing ovation and rapturous applause.
"The wedding planner, Greg, at Fairyhill, said he had never seen anything like it."
How to save on a budget wedding
Though the whole video had a lasting impact on their big day, one moment really made the couple laugh.
"The part where he ‘reveals’ himself, saying ‘its me’, is hilarious - as if we didn’t know - and also his dancing, particularly in slow mo," they said.
"Carl is renowned for his dancing skills and is always the first and last on the dance floor at any function."
The couple thanked everyone who helped him out.
