Best loadout for the Maddox RFB in Warzone

The Maddox RFB is one of the new weapons introduced in Warzone Season 1, and here’s the best loadout for the AR to dominate Battle Royale and other modes.

The Maddox RFB is a returning weapon from Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and is a full-auto AR with a fast fire rate, 40-round mag size, and manageable recoil. Its large ammo pool is ideal for prolonged engagements in Warzone, to take down multiple squad members at once.

With the BO7 integration into Warzone, attachments are now limited to five, which makes it even more important to choose the best possible options for optimal results. With that said, this Maddox RFB Warzone loadout prioritizes recoil control, mobility, and ADS speed.

Best Maddox RFB loadout in Warzone

Before you proceed with the best build and class setup, take a look at how to unlock the Maddox RFB in Warzone.

Slot Attachment
Optic Redwell 30-S 2x
(2x Magnification, Recoil Gun Kick)
Muzzle Redwell 5.56 Compensator
(Vertical Recoil Control)
Barrel 21″ Turbine Booster Barrel
(Mid Damage Range, Horizontal Recoil Control, Recoil Stabilization)
Underbarrel VAS Drift Lock Foregrip
(Horizontal Recoil Control)
Stock Furrow Control Stock
(Vertical and Horizontal Recoil Control)

While you can go without an optic in multiplayer, it becomes one of the most important attachments for Warzone as there will be gunfights at medium to sometimes longer ranges. During those moments, the Redwell 30-S 2x will be ideal for optimal zoom and improving the recoil gun kick.

The Redwell 5.56 Compensator will significantly reduce the vertical recoil of the AR, and the 21″ Turbine Booster Barrel will improve mid damage range, horizontal recoil control, and recoil Stabilization. Damage range is also another important aspect to take care of for Warzone, so make sure to increase the range of damage.

The VAS Drift Lock Foregrip will reduce the horizontal recoil, and the Furrow Control Stock will further reduce both vertical and horizontal recoil of the Maddox RFB.

  • Secondary: SMG or Sniper (I prefer a sniper, so VS Recon)
  • Melee: Personal preference
  • Tactical: Stim Shot
  • Lethal: Frag
  • Perk 1: Cold-Blooded
  • Perk 2: Sprinter
  • Perk 3: Tracker

For the secondary weapon slot, you can keep any weapon. SMGs and Snipers are the best choices, but my personal preference is keeping a sniper, so the VS Recon is my go-to secondary. You can choose any melee weapon you want.

Stim Shot is best used for aggressive pushes and disengagements. Pop it after taking damage to re‑engage quickly or escape bad peeks. Frag Grenade is great for forcing enemies out of cover, clearing stairwells, or finishing downed targets behind walls or rocks.

For Perks, choose Cold‑Blooded to stay immune to thermal scopes, weapon targeting systems, heartbeat sensor, phantom signal, scrambling, and EMP effects, tracker, and alertness, thereby making you harder to track.

Sprinter helps with fast rotations, slide‑cancels, and general repositioning, and Tracker lets you follow enemy footsteps into buildings or around cover.
