'Best I've ever seen' - Ilkay Gundogan lists differences between Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola

Ilkay Gundogan believes Pep Guardiola is the best tactician he's ever played for.

However, the Man City star said he would "die" for Jurgen Klopp on the pitch.

The world-class midfielder worked with Liverpool manager Klopp at Borussia Dortmund but currently plays for Guardiola at the Etihad.

He's been in incredible form this season, scoring 13 goals from the centre of the park, and has now been asked who is the best manager he's played for in his career.

"True," the Germany international when asked if Guardiola was the best boss he'd played for by Sky Sports.

"It’s probably a bit easier for me to name a difference [between Guardiola and Klopp ], because I feel like tactically Pep is the best I’ve ever seen to be honest, and I’ve also heard that a lot of times from other players who have played under him.

"The way he looks at all the details of the game is just incredible and he tries to transmit that on the pitch.

"But then Klopp, Jurgen as a character is someone when you go on the pitch you are able to sacrifice everything for him, to give your all.

"He has that power the way he talks to you, the way he speaks to you, to give you the right words going into a game.

"So you just go onto the pitch and you’d die for him.

"It’s difficult to say who is better. Me personally, I just feel privileged to have worked with both.

"That’s what I’m very grateful for."
