Best Google Pixel Fold accessories - from Casetify cases to Pixel Buds and Pixel Watch

Last week Google launched a second smartphone to the line of its 2023 models, the Pixel Fold, the tech giant's first three-screen handset. As avid tech users race to pre-order the new device a host of brands have unveiled suitable accessories.

When buying any new smartphone, the likes of a protective case and screen protector are usually on the top of many shoppers' lists, especially considering the cost of upgrading to a new phone. The Google Pixel Fold is priced at £1,749, making it one of the most expensive new phones on the market.

Despite it not being available to buy in-store in June 2023 there are a load of accessories shoppers can buy to go with the new handset. From specific phone cases to suit the foldable screen to smart earbuds and smartwatches.

As seen in previous high-profile phone launches, like the iPhone 14, the new Google handset box does not come with a full charger adapter, only the cable. An essential accessory for those who've never owned a Google phone before.

We've rounded up some of the newest launched since the release of the Google Pixel Fold.

There's no worse feeling than having a brand new phone without a protective case, and ahead of the pre-order deliveries Casetify have launched its new Pixel Fold range.

Similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 4, cases for Google's new handset are likely to be harder to find compared to the likes of regular smartphones, as it has to allow for the bend in the phone.

Like the majority of the brand's phone cases, the new Pixel Fold range has been drop-tested up to a height of 4 metres, to ensure protection if dropped. The full range can be shopped, here.

Like most tech brands Google released its own version of in-ear 'bud earphones' to sit alongside its recent Pixel smartphones. The standard Pixel Buds were released in 2021, around the time of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro launch.

Priced at £99 they are the cheapest version of the wireless earphones, a predecessor to the more expensive Pixel Bud Pro which cost £179. The biggest difference between the two models, and for an extra £80, is the extended battery life.

Although seemingly small, the buds are packed with top sound quality as well as a clear microphone sound for phone calls, despite not being plugged into the device.

Similar to an Apple watch to sync with the latest iPhone 14 Pro, or a SamsungGalaxyWatch 5 to wear alongside the new S23, Google also has their own smartwatch.

The Google Pixel Watch is compatible with any Google Pixel or Android phone running on 8.0 or newer, so it includes the Pixel Fold's Android 13. The standard Pixel Watch is the only 'casual wear' smartwatch to be released by Google, as it sits behind the brand's full range of FitBit sport watches.

The new Pixel Fold doesn't come with a full charger, instead the boxes only have one charging cable. Of course, buyng a standard HDMI cable adapter (or charging adapter) of the likes of Amazon would be a simple option but the new handset is also wireless compatible.

Users can charge the handset without plugging it in, making it easier for 'around the house' charging. A range of flat-lay wireless chargers or charging desk stands (like the one above) can be found on Amazon from as little £11.
