'A real livewire'- Player Ratings as Nottingham Forest share a point with QPR

Nottingham Forest were held to a 0-0 draw on something of a frustrating afternoon at home to QPR.

The hosts had the ball in the net early on through Joe Worrall, only for it to be disallowed. And they struggled to find a breakthrough after that, despite dominating possession.

Here’s how Reds reporter Sarah Clapson rated the Forest players at the City Ground.

Brice Samba: A fairly quiet afternoon. Wasn’t really tested as Rangers were generally kept at arm’s length. Just the odd routine save. Rating: 7/10

Matty Cash: The kind of performance we’ve come to expect from the right-back. Weighed in with some thumping tackles and some teasing crosses at the other end of the pitch. Rating: 7/10

Tobias Figueiredo: Not much gets past the Portuguese. That partnership with Worrall in the centre of defence was rock solid again. Not that the visitors caused too many problems. Rating: 8/10

Joe Worrall: Desperately unlucky to see those goal celebrations brought to a sudden halt. Could see how much it meant to him - and it would have been deserved, too. Rating: 8/10

Yuri Ribeiro: Such an underrated player for the Reds. Doesn’t put a foot wrong very often and pushed forward every chance he got. Rating: 7/10

Ben Watson: Did a good job of helping limit QPR to very little. Once again, did the simple things well - not glamorous work, but needed to be done. Rating: 7/10

Tiago Silva: Looked really comfortable in a deeper role to begin with, when he added plenty of drive going forward. Much like the team as a whole, lost a bit of his spark in the second half - even when pushed further forward. Rating: 6/10

Nottingham Forest's Sammy Ameobi has his shirt pulled by Queens Park Rangers' Dominic Ball. (Joseph Raynor/ Nottingham Post)

Sammy Ameobi: Forced a strong save out of Liam Kelly during a first half in which he was a real livewire. A little bit quieter after the break as the tempo went down a notch. Rating: 7.5/10

Joe Lolley: Kept plugging away throughout. Will be cursing the wind which forced a retake of that corner - would have been a very different game then. Agonisingly close to a winner right at the death. Rating: 7/10

Adama Diakhaby: His best game in a Forest shirt. Was positive from the start and used the ball much better than in previous outings. Almost scored in the second half. Rating: 7/10

Lewis Grabban: Had a couple of glimpses of goal, with his best chance coming in the first half. Just not getting a bit of luck in front of goal at the moment. Rating: 6/10

Subs

Ryan Yates (for Ameobi, 60): Plenty of effort as he worked hard. Came on alongside Watson as Silva was pushed forward. Rating: 6/10

Alex Mighten (for Diakhaby, 71): First league appearance for the teeanager and he didn’t look out of place. A bright 20 minutes. Rating: 7/10

Joao Carvalho (for Silva, 77): Involved in some positive moments, but just couldn’t quite find the crucial ball. Rating: 6/10

Subs not used: Muric, Jenkinson, Dawson, Walker.
