Best friends Teddy and Rocko need a new home big enough for the both of them

Dogs Trust Merseyside are hoping to rehome two animals who are the best of friends

Five-year-old Rocko and three-year-old Teddy have found themselves without a home after a change in their family's circumstances meant they could no longer be cared for by them.

Now, staff at the Huyton-based centre are looking to rehome the two Shar Peis's together ahead of international friendship day on July 30.

Affectionally known as the the terrific two-some, the pair are described as "super silly and playful."

Georgina Lowery, Manager at Dogs Trust Merseyside, told TeamDogs: “Rocko and Teddy are never far from each other’s side, and we are committed to finding them a home together.

"When they arrived, they were anxious but they are much better now and really showing their lovely personalities. They love to be made a fuss of and are both really affectionate, with each other as well as their human friends.

"So, as we head towards a day that celebrates the importance of friendship, we want to celebrate the bond they have but also hope the search for their forever friends of the two-legged kind will soon be over and they’ll head home with their new family.”

Rocko and Teddy like short walks and get along with other quiet dogs, but it is preferred if they were the only dogs in the home.

They can live with older teenagers and although it would be an advantage if their new owners had experience of the breed, it is not essential.
