Best F1 25 Mods and How to Install Them

While the developers keep their game alive with countless additions and updates, the community, on the other hand, goes further with fan-favorite mods. Regardless of the game, mods have always been an interesting aspect that die-hard players enjoy adding, just to break the boundaries and surpass what the game usually allows.

Similar to any other racing title, the F1 25 community has already cooked up some serious mods that can either help you enhance the aesthetics or improve the overall gameplay and mechanics. In this regard, I bring you the best F1 25 mods worth installing to sharpen your experience.

Best F1 25 Mods And How To Install Them

Before we begin, let me be clear that mods are exclusive to PCs. This is because console players cannot access the game files, which is a crucial step for modifying any game. That said, let’s talk about these mods.

Fast Launch (Skip Startup – Intro Video)

Waiting for the intro videos and logo animations to end can be time-consuming, especially for those who already have a limited amount of time for gaming throughout the day. Since the majority of the games don’t let you skip them, F1 25 follows the same tradition.

Thanks to this mod, you can launch your game way before the original does. As soon as you boot up the game, the Fast Launch automatically skips the EA logo animation and Codemasters intro videos, allowing you to jump into a race quickly.

Installing this mod is just as quick. Simply extract the .rar file and copy the “Videos” folder to your “F1 25” folder. Overwrite the existing folder, and you are good to go. Make sure you don’t delete anything else, just overwrite and call it a day. Otherwise, you can mess up important files that run the game.

Improved Force Feedback For F1 25

A treat for players who go all-in with a steering wheel setup. There is no doubt that the developers have done a great job in providing a decent amount of feedback to mimic an F1 car’s behavior, but it’s far from perfect.

That’s why the community has made a force feedback mod that polishes the feedback so you can experience realistic vibrations and movements as you take Eau Rouge flat out. The modification enhances the following:

  • Improved G-Force effects
  • Improved Bump Effects
  • Improved Road Effects
  • Improved Curb Effects
  • Improved Oversteer Effects
  • Improved Understeer Effects
  • Improved Rumble Effects
  • Improved Friction Effects

Once downloaded, installing this mod is relatively simple. From the mod folder, copy the file “databases.erp” to:

“F1 25\2025_asset_groups\ui_package\”

Now start the game. To be on the safe side, it’s recommended that you either backup or rename the file before replacing it, just to go back if things don’t go as planned.

Pits N’ Giggles – F1 25 Telemetry

Image: EA Sports

The game does a great job of simulating Formula 1, but the lack of telemetry display snatches crucial data that an F1 nerd highly appreciates. For those with a high-end simulator, this could work as a missing puzzle to an ultimate rig.

Thankfully, a live F1 telemetry modification already exists for the game that can help you become your own race engineer. It displays almost everything on your sim’s UDP so you can be aware of what’s happening in the background. During the race, you can analyze the following:

  • Live data comparison against other drivers (such as ERS, fuel, lap times, tyre wear)
  • Detailed per-lap analysis after a race
  • Live tyre wear and fuel usage prediction according to the way you drive

Pits n’ Giggles saves you from the technical hurdles, as there is no need to install it. It’s a browser-based telemetry and strategy tool. Just start the app, hook it up with your UDP, and boot up the dashboard in any browser; that’s it.

F1 Proximity Radar

Lights out can instantly result in chaos; you never know what could happen at the first corner. In this situation, where even milliseconds of distraction can completely alter your race, looking back at other cars can throw you off the track or even into someone’s rear wing.

That’s where this Proximity Radar comes in handy. With this mod, driving can become much more forgiving as it will keep you alert with all of the cars nearby, so you can plan your tactics without distractions. The modification is perfect, especially for multiplayer sessions where mayhem is common.

The good news is, there’s no need to install a Proximity Radar, as it depends on the UDP telemetry data. Here are the instructions to set up this mod:

  1. Put your game in borderless window mode
  2. Set up telemetry – go to options – settings – telemetry settings and set the following:
  • UDP Telemetry – On
  • UDP IP Address – 127.0.0.1
  • UDP Port – 20777 (can be changed in the settings)
  • UDP Send Rate – 60Hz (can be set to anything, but the higher the better)
  • UDP Format – 2025

Increased Damage And R&D Tire Wear Mod

Safety cars bring good news for racers racing normally and bad news for those who have crashed. As the big guys are disqualified, your winning opportunities increase because the overall competition decreases.

Since safety cars can make a big difference, there is a modification for F1 25 that purposely invites them by increasing the amount of damage cars can take. With punishing wall damage and exaggerated impacts, your opponents crash frequently, resulting in safety cars.

Simply download the mod and follow the instructions, replace the necessary files, and that’s it.
