There has been no shortage of heatwaves this year, and if you’ve managed to brave them all without an electric fan, hats off to you. But summer is far from over, and with more high temperatures expected across much of the country, now’s a good time to prepare yourself. To help you save on this essential summer purchase, we’ve selected the best electric fan deals.
From pedestal fans to tabletop models, our hand-picked deals cover a range of budgets. There are options for less than £50, which don’t tend to have as many speed and oscillation settings as pricier models. Once you go above £100, you’ll often find smart features, convertible models and fans that are quieter. No matter the price, we only recommend models from brands we’ve tested in our round-up of the best electric fans, so you can be sure you’re getting your money’s worth.
We’ll be keeping this page updated throughout the summer as we search for discounts on top cooling brands. Keep in mind that fans can quickly run out of stock, particularly during heatwaves, so if you see a deal that ticks all your boxes, it’s worth bookmarking it and checking back when there’s less demand.
Why you can trust us to find the best electric fan deals
At The Independent we’re committed to bringing you the very best deals. Our experienced team of deal hunters are experts when it comes to tracking down the best electric fan offers, with years of experience reporting on annual sales events.
When choosing the best electric fan deals, we prioritise the models that have been tried and tested by our experts, so you can be sure that they’ll be worth your money. If we’re yet to review a model, we make sure it’s made by a brand that we know and trust, such as Dyson, Shark or Black + Decker. Though a big discount may seem appealing, we always prioritise the quality of the products first.

Duux whisper flex smart fan: Was £169, now £135, Wickes.co.uk

Here’s a chance to save on the priciest pedestal fan we’ve tested, with 20 per cent off at Wickes. Our reviewer was impressed with the fan’s 26 speed settings, far more than most models offer, as well as the natural breeze mode that’s designed to simulate real wind. “We thought it would be a gimmick,” they said. “But it was noticeably different from the usual blasting air you find in most fans.”
Shark FlexBreeze TableMate: Was £149, now £99, Currys.co.uk

Shark’s FlexBreeze portable fan was one of the best electric fans we tested, and its tabletop version is on sale for £50 off. Despite its name, this fan can be used indoors or outdoors, corded or cordless. On full charge, Shark claims that it’s runtime is 24 hours. It has five fan speeds and 180 degrees of oscillation side-to-side.
If the item goes out of stock on Currys, check AO or John Lewis, who are selling it for the same price.
Dyson cool CF1: Was £249.99, now £225, Dyson.co.uk

Dyson discounts are hard to come by, but we’ve spotted an easy way to save. If you’re a new Dyson customer and register for its newsletter, you’ll get a 10 per cent discount code that you can use to buy any of its fans. When you enter the homepage, you’ll usually be prompted with a pop-up to sign up. There is also a newsletter tab on the main menu where you can register.
Some of our best Dyson fans are out of stock at the moment, but you can pick up the Dyson cool CF1, which we named the best Dyson desk fan. Senior tech critic, Alex Lee, praised it for being “really powerful” and said “it’s one of the strongest fans I’ve tested in terms of airflow”.
Beurer LV50 fresh breeze personal air fan and cooler: Was £54.99, now £40.66, Amazon.co.uk

If the heat has ever tempted you to venture into the office on a work from home day, this may be the fan for you. It has an evaporation filter that allows it to cool and humidify the air at the same time. Plus, it uses USB charging, meaning you can charge it using your PC or laptop while you work.
However, our reviewer warns that this is best used as a desk fan: “This won’t cool a whole room, but it will provide relief when working through a heatwave”. It’s currently 26 per cent off, but the price fluctuates. If you’re interested, we recommend nabbing one before the hot weather returns and stock runs low.
Winique clip-on stroller fan: Was £19.99, now £14.44, Amazon.co.uk

If you need to get out and about with your baby or toddler during a heatwave, this ‘pram fan’ from Winique is a must – especially now that you can get £5 off. Our reviewer praised its simplicity and said: “Wrap the stretchy legs around the safety bar on a buggy, pram or car seat, and your kid will be cooled by a fresh breeze near their face”.
